With constantly changing fashions and very definite tastes, buying a piece of art for a teenage son or daughter can be tricky. However, in our unique ‘Select Art by Room’ section, you will find a selection of prints, framed posters, art canvases and photography to meet the approval of even the most demanding young art critic. To ensure that this is the case, we’ve asked a group of youngsters aged between 12 and 19 to chose the images they’d most like to have on their walls.
Bold, stylized art prints of 20th century icons Elvis and Marilyn Monroe by Andy Warhol make a perfect gift, along with Roy Lichtenstein’s 1960’s cartoon-inspired paintings ‘Blam’ and ‘Kiss V’. Jean Michel Basquiat’s edgy, graffiti-inspired paintings are also bound to be a big hit.
