Alma Tadema Prints and Posters

Sir Lawrence Alma-Tadema moved from his native Holland to England in 1870, where he became well-known for his Neo-Classical  paintings. Many of his works depicted scenes of Greek Myths, Ancient Rome, and Egypt, all popular themes with his Victorian patrons. Alma-Tadema also produced designs for theatre sets, including sets for Sir Henry Irving's production Coriolanus in London. He died in Holland in 1912.
