Hannah Cole - Artist Biography
Hannah's love of Cornwall is wonderfully conveyed in her charming painterly studies of harbours and houses, boats and beach scenes. Cole's paintings evolve from sketches, photos and memories. She loves walking, whatever the weather, and colours, shapes and ideas are carried back from her long strolls along coastal paths and through small fishing villages. Back in the studio Hannah translates her ideas onto canvas, starting with large areas of colour, then building up layers focusing on mark-making and colour.
